Check video and audio format compatibility
Check video and audio format compatibility with practical Screen TV checks and next steps for your device or playlist.
Screen TV does not provide IPTV subscriptions, channels or copyrighted content. Users must provide their own legally authorized content sources.
A playlist is not a codec
M3U and Xtream Codes describe how the catalog is delivered. The underlying stream still has video and audio codecs, a container and a resolution that your device must support.
Ask for an alternative stream
If only some titles fail or play without sound, ask your source provider for an alternative encoding supported by your device. Changing M3U to Xtream Codes does not itself transcode a stream.
Record the device details
Compatibility varies by model and firmware. Provide those details and any known codec information when contacting support; avoid assuming that playback on a newer TV proves support on an older one.
